Jumbo Publishing’s sensational debut in Karachi Literature Festival

Jumbo Publishing, the market leaders in the field of sports books in the region, made a sensational debut in the Karachi Literature Festival by setting up a stall of its own in the KLF 2014, organized at Karachi’s Beach Luxury Hotel from February 7 to 9. 

The sports books of Jumbo Publishing had made appearances in the past editions of the KLF as well but it for the first time when they put together their own stall as their titles have been stocked by some of the leading booksellers of the country besides the National Book Foundation (NBF).

With the T20 cricket becoming increasingly popular by the day there was no surprises in finding the visitors take more interest in Jumbo Publishing’s Crash of the Titans, which is an account of the ICC World Twenty20 Cricket Tournament 2010 which was held in the West Indies. 

Crash of the Titans, authored by Ehsan Qureshi, is regarded as the first book on T20 cricket to be published in Pakistan. The scorecards, match reports and statistics make it a complete package about the event.

The recently organized fourth edition of the Karachi Literature Festival (KLF 2014) at Karachi’s Beach Luxury Hotel from February 7 to 9 had plenty to offer to the bookworms with the series of events on all three days. 

The book fair was flocked by the visitors on all three days with the stall of Jumbo Publishing, showcasing some of the best books on the subject of sports, making quite an impression on their maiden appearance at the KLF. 

Syed Khalid Mahmood’s Reflections, with the author decorating the cover of the book, remained in high demand among the sports fans in particular. It is a collection his top 50 articles posted on his blog www.skmsports.com during its first 15 months, starting from October 2008 to December 2009.
